Garfield Park
An historic president’s park, named after
United States President James A. Garfield, our 20th
President who served in 1881. Located in the center of
Plattsmouth, 5th Street and 2nd Avenue, the park has a
large gazebo bandstand, playground equipment and a
picnic area. Local organizations currently are raising
funds to restore the park to its original, historic
condition.Memorial Park Complex
A spacious park in the southwest part of Plattsmouth,
located on Fourth Avenue between 15th and 18th streets.
This complex has picnic areas, ball fields, restrooms,
lighted basketball and tennis courts. Little League
baseball, softball and Legion baseball are offered as
well as adult softball leagues.
Twin Rivers Aquatic Center

One of the finest outdoor swimming facilities in the
area with large slides, spiraling water fountains, and
plenty of swimming entertainment for all ages. Swimming
lessons are offered throughout the summer. It is located
just west of Memorial Park.
Indian Springs Park and Pond
This park shelters with picnic tables, grilling area and
a five-acre deep fishing lake with handicap accessible
fishing pier. It is directly across from the soon-to-be
completed Plattsmouth Community Center.
Plattsmouth Skate Park
This newly opened skate park, located on 18th Street, is
a haven for skateboarders with its ramps and security
gate. A dedication ceremony is scheduled for fall 2007.
Caboose Park
Third & Main St.
One of the focal points of this half-acre park is the
1913 Burlington Caboose built in Aurora, Ill. The
caboose was renovated by Cass County Historical Society
volunteers. The park also features the Cook Log Cabin,
an old-time threshing machine, tractor and picnic table
pad. |
